I've been learning German with Jan for around 18 months and it has been an incredibly rewarding experience. I've just come back from a month in Germany and the transformation in my language abilities from last time was huge. Working with Jan has not only massively improved my German generally but has given me far more self-confidence to communicate with people and participate in things I would never have done without his classes. Furthermore, Jan has an excellent knowledge of the country and the culture, and his enthusiasm for these topics is infectious. This has not only pushed me to improve as I actively want to engage with German music, films, books, etc but also makes practicing German outside of class a joy. His patience and tailored approach have made a huge difference to my speaking, understanding, and love of learning the language. If you're looking for a tutor who is knowledgeable, engaged, and builds the language around your interests, I can't recommend Jan enough.

I highly recommend Jan. We just finished reading through Goethe's Faust and started today with Kafka's Der Prozess. Jan always makes lessons interesting and fun.
