Hi! My name is Yannis and I am a native Greek speaker. I was born and grew up in Athens but I have been living in Hamburg for a few years. I hold a Bachelor in Political Sciences from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a MSc from the University of Rotterdam in English. I love travelling and meeting new people from different cultures. My interests include cinema,sports, literature, international relations and the environment.我的教學經歷
In the last few years I had the chance to to teach the Greek language to non Greeks or to those of a Greek decent. As a result of trying to learn German, I know very well how hard it can be learning a new language. Therefore I am patient and I speak slowly for my students to understand me. I am able to teach in English or in German.我的課程內容與教學風格
I adjust my teaching method and material depending on each student needs. I prefer engaging my students with topics of everyday life situations and according to their specific needs. I focus a lot on conversations as I think this is the most effective way to learn. The more you talk, the easier it gets!

Ioannis ist ein sehr korrekter Lehrer, denn ich nur immer wieder empfehlen kann. Er motiviert zum Sprechen und schreibt alle Vokabeln auf, damit man sie danach lernen kann. Er ist unermüdlich, die richtige Aussprache beizubringen und einfache Konstruktiuonen zu finden, damit man mit wenig Vokabular viel sagen kann. Einfach toll :)

Thank you Ioannis for another excellent lesson! I learned so many new words and expressions that I can use in almost any conversation. Ioannis helps me with the grammar and putting together sentences correctly, and reinforces the vocabulary that I have already learned making me more confident to use them. He encourages me to try to talk about more complicated subjects while using the vocabulary I already have, and teaches me new ways to express myself. I highly recommend studying with him.
