Hi, my name is Mika 👋
I have a passion for languages and teaching 👩🏻🏫
I'm fluent in 🇩🇪 🇬🇧 I can speak 🇰🇷 🇫🇷 I'm currently learning 🇰🇷 🇯🇵
I study linguistics and Korean at the University of Bochum.
In my free time I do music 🎶 watch Star Wars ✨ eat good food 🍜
I'm pretty much a homebody 🏡
I'm easy going and open minded. I've been a teacher on italki for quite a while now and it never gets boring. I love that I can meet so many people from different countries and cultures through my classes. The best part of teaching is seeing my students make progress and their joy about it. It really puts a smile on my face to see the excitement in their eyes. 🤩 I'm passionate about teaching, very patient and will cheer and encourage you to keep going. My class is a safe space where you can speak comfortably without the fear of being judged. Often we think: "I don't know how to say this." or "I can't do it.". But from experience I can tell you: You know more than you think you do! Just give it a go! 💪Don't be afraid of mistakes, we can learn a lot from them. And if you struggle, I will help with grammar & vocabulary guide you through out the conversation. 🤓

- Do you teach children? - No. I only teach adults (18 < ).
- Do you teach total beginners? - No. I'm not a professional teacher hence I'm not qualified to teach German from scratch.
- Do you use a (grammar) book? - No. I only use topic sheets as a conversation starter.我的教材

Mika is always super nice and interesting to talk to! My german level is not so good and she still manages to get the best conversation out of it. It is just like talking to a friend. I feel I have improved so much since having my lessons with her. Please just don´t book all of her hours cause I really need her ;)

Mika has always been the best partner to practice my rusted German. She is very gentle and calm, and is patient enough to wait for me to complete a sentence. This all makes up a nice cozy atmosphere to open up and talk about everything - über Gott und die Welt. ;-) Highly recommended! ✨

Der Unterricht war entspannend und spannend ! Die Themas von die Besprechung waren sehr interessant, wir habe über Literatur, Musik, Kultur, Bücher und wie ist es leben und arbeiten in Deutschland. Wir haben auch ein Spiel gespielt um Geschichten zu erstellen un erzählen. Sie gebe mir immer Kommentaren um mein Deutsch Grammatik zu verbessern. Der Zeit hat schnell verbracht, ich hatte viel Spaß während lernte ich Deutsch mit Mika.
The class was great, we talk about different and interesting topics such as books, music, culture and how is living in Germany. We also play a game to practice story telling. She always correct me my grammar with great tips. The time past fast and I had a great time learning German with Mika.
La clase estuvo estupenda, hablamos de diferentes temas como cultura, música, libros, literatura y de cómo es vivir y trabajar en Alemania. Corrigió mis errores gramaticales y me dio ejemplos. La pasamos muy bien y el tiempo pasó muy rápido, pero aprendí mucho con Mika.
