Hei! I’m Jenni, a native Finnish teacher specializing in helping adult beginners (A1/A2) build confidence through practical, conversational Finnish.
With 10+ years teaching across Ireland, China, Japan, and beyond, I’ve mastered tailoring lessons for diverse learners. As someone who’s studied 5 languages, I get the struggle and turn it into progress with patience and humour.
My expertise is making Finnish feel approachable. Students enjoy - as well as benefit - from the "learn-by-doing" style, whether prepping for YKI tests or ordering "kanelipulla" like a local. Let’s turn "Mitä kuuluu?" into effortless chats and you can kiss goodbye "En ymmärrä".我的教學經歷
I have been a certified teacher since 2014 and am specialized in teaching customized communicative Finnish.
I specialize in teaching A1-A2 level adult students, helping them build a solid foundation in Finnish with clear explanations and practical exercises.
With over 10 years of experience in specialized Finnish language instruction, I understand the challenges beginners face and how to overcome them. My students have found my lessons clear, well-structured, and encouraging; making their learning experience both effective and enjoyable.

My lessons are 100% customised to fit the needs of each student. After setting your language goals, together with you, I make a plan on how to achieve them.
I plan the lessons based on individual language needs. Depending on your goals, I customise each lesson individually, e.g. grammar, vocab, YKI prep, or a mixture.
My students give positive feedback on:

- flexibility and patience
- customised exercises and homework
- boost in self-confidence and fluency in speaking
Both private lessons and group lessons include custom lessons, free materials, homework.

Jenni is an excellent teacher. She is always well prepared, enthusiastic, and patient. Finnish can be very difficult and confusing but she takes things in manageable pieces and builds on it step by step. The homework is easily accessible and is supportive of what we worked on in the lesson.

Jenni has been my Finnish teacher for a couple years now. Today we continued working on the plural partitive. She used a PDF she made to help teach the subject and it was very helpful. The plural partitive is complicated, but Jenni is smart and incredibly patient.
