I have studied with Yuki for over two years and could not recommend a better teacher! Yuki is fantastic at adjusting her teaching style and pace to the student's needs and goals. I started from a completely basic level and eventually reached my desired level of fluency quickly through Yuki's courses, feedback, suggestions, and support! I particularly enjoyed the journal exchange classes that challenged me to write in Japanese as well! I've been to Japanese language school and have taken a number of online classes but at the end of the day Yuki is still my favorite teacher and was pivotal to starting my language learning journey! I have taken 80+ lessons with Yuki sensei since last year and was able to improve my Japanese level significantly. She is very professional and informative when I have language related questions (grammar, vocab etc.) At the same time, she is also extremely helpful when it comes to culture related questions. Through our journal exchanges I got to understand many cultural aspects that I was not aware of before, even though I have been living in Japan for quite some time. It is truly a pleasure to have her as my teacher and I would recommend her for anyone who is serious about learning Japanese. 先生のお陰様で、日本語で文章を書くことに自信を持つようになりました。交換日記により、様々なトピックについて討論できますので、会話の能力もより一層流暢になった気がします。今までアートや教育や日本の文化など幅広い分野での話ができて、いろいろな知識を身につけた上に、一緒に過ごした時間も本当に楽しかったです。沢山教えて頂き、誠にありがとうございました。

Yuki is always prepared and makes every class fun and engaging. I have really enjoyed taking lessons from her for the past 8 months and would recommend her to anyone looking to learn Japanese.

Yuki is a skilled tutor who explains grammar points, new vocabulary, and cultural references clearly and with examples. I have had about 10 lessons with her so far and I look forward to each one. I was looking for help with my weak speaking skills (I'm at about N3 level), and in just a few lessons I was speaking better than I ever had before because of how patient she is when I need to stop & think. We alternate between "Exchange Journals" and "Japanese for all levels (with materials)" reading the manga Skip & Loafer/スキップとローファー. I would highly recommend taking either of these lessons as they developed my speaking & writing skills much faster than self-study.

Yuki sensei uses Japanese that’s very appropriate for my level, just hard enough to make me thing but not so complicated that I loose all track of what we are talking about. Yuki sensei is also very pleasant to talk to and makes the lessons fun.

I have been studying with Yuki for about 6 months now and she has made every class engaging and she is a very encouraging teacher.
