Hello, I'm Tapas. I was born and raised in Kolkata, the cultural heart of India. I hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor's in Physics.
While Kolkata will always be home, I’ve been living in Bangalore for the past year, working as a software developer. But beyond coding, my true passion lies in teaching and connecting with people through language.
To me, language is more than just communication — it’s a gateway to new cultures, ideas, and perspectives. With experience teaching over 500 students from all over the world, I’ve helped learners overcome language barriers and speak with confidence in real-life conversations.我的教學經歷
**Since my college days, I have been teaching both kids and adults English, Bengali, and Hindi.
**I have experience of over 5 years in teaching students of all ages and levels, and my teaching style differs with each.
**I try to get to know each of my students and allow them to know me as much as possible, to create a comfortable and engaging environment where they do not hesitate to ask questions or feel uncomfortable making errors, as it's all a part of learning.
**I believe that to succeed in anything in life, one has to enjoy what one does. This is why I try to make my lessons fun and interactive so that my students feel motivated to continue learning English, Bengali & Hindi.我的課程內容與教學風格
**My lessons focus on building vocabulary, improving pronunciation, mastering basic grammar, and enhancing fluency. I prioritize practical language skills, helping students communicate with confidence and ease.
**To make learning more engaging and effective, I incorporate audio, pictures, and videos, allowing students to experience the language in real-life contexts.
** I provide written materials after each lesson for revision, ensuring students always have access to essential study resources.
**Every student is unique, so I use personalized learning materials tailored to their individual long—term or short—term goals, guiding them toward success at their own pace.我的教材

I like lessons with Mr Topas because he always finds appropriate material as simple reading books (which are excellent for my level), phrases which I can use in everyday dialogues, etc. He is very patient even if I ask one word many times. I have lessons with Topas nearly every day and my Bangla level has grown from absolute zero to A2 during only 1 month of lessons. Thank you very much, Topas!!! 🙂👍👍👍

Having the conversational classed with Tapas for couples of months, my speaking English has improved a lot in fluency. He also gave me advice to enlarge and expand my vocabulary in order to enrich my oral and written English. Now I am able to get into the all English meetings in my workplace and communicate with native speakers. Thanks Tapas help me a lot and I will keep praticing with him to expect more progress.

Tapas was a nice guy. He knows what he is doing.
Teached very well.
However He was in a place that was very hard to understand what he was saying and a lot of background noise as a fan and music.
We did not finish the entire class as I had an eletricity issue.

Tapas is a wonderful teacher! I started learning with Tapas with zero knowledge of Hindi language in order to prepare for a trip to India. His teaching approach is intuitive and perfectly suited for beginners, making learning both accessible and enjoyable. Tapas is incredibly patient, always taking the time to explain concepts clearly and ensuring I'm comfortable with the material before moving forward.
