Hi! I’m Wendy, a native Mandarin speaker from Taiwan. I’m friendly, patient, and easy to talk to — that’s what my students and friends often tell me! My goal is to help you feel confident and comfortable when speaking Mandarin. Whether you're a complete beginner or already have some experience, I’ll guide you step by step. I’ll also show you that learning Chinese characters isn’t as hard as it seems — it can even be fun! Let’s work together to improve your speaking, reading, and overall understanding of Mandarin in a relaxed and encouraging environment.

I’ve helped many students improve their Mandarin, especially in daily conversations and real-life situations. My teaching focuses on smart learning — using simple, effective techniques to help you remember and use what you’ve learned faster. I always adapt my lessons to fit each student’s needs, goals, and pace. You’ll always feel supported and encouraged in my class!

Learning a ton of new vocab and ways to phrase things in Mandarin that would be really difficult to look up myself. Especially some Taiwan-specific terms that differ from those in China. Wendy's also a great person to talk with about life/culture in Taiwan if you're interested in that.

Wendy is a great teacher, she is very positive and creates a relaxing and fun atmosphere for our classes. I feel very comfortable speaking my (broken) Chinese with her, and have made good progress since we have been doing our classes together. Her work method is really great, I like the use of Google Sheets, and appreciate being able to go back and see what we covered after class. Her explanations are always very clear and she is open to all questions (grammar, vocabulary etc). If you are looking for someone to practise speaking Chinese with, then I highly recommend Wendy!
