I'm Amara, a Business English speaker born and raised in London, England traveling and experiencing the world. I studied English Literature and graduated with a First Class, continuing on to work, write and travel. I became a qualified EFL teacher because of my love for languages - not only do I enjoy immersing myself in new languages but I also enjoy helping people confidently express themselves in English. I'm a big believer in learning a language to express your personality and communicate with confidence.
Besides teaching, I'm a mindfulness and meditation teacher who loves reading (maybe in my target language) and exploring a new country.我的教學經歷
My teaching style adapts to each of my students and their learning styles! A huge part of my approach focusses on how students feel comfortable learning. There are some things I can guarantee:
- an interactive lesson
- a relaxed environment
- lots of opportunity to practice and speak!
- focus on accent and pronunciation
No matter what your English level is, I aim to make you feel confident communicating with what you have.
Generally, I like my classes to feel relaxed and experimental so that you feel comfortable to freely practice the language.
I sometimes provide homework too. Practice makes perfect so I provide homework to maintain your skills. (I promise to keep it entertaining though). 我的課程內容與教學風格
My teaching style is heavily influenced by real-world materials. You can expect lots of literature and audio materials in every lesson so that you have the opportunity to use your English skills in real-life settings.
I am TEFL accredited and my teaching style is influenced by this training. I plan with skill-based lessons and try, as often as possible, to include new and exciting ways to experiment with reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.
Typically, my lessons are between 30- 90 minutes long but it depends entirely on the topic and student's needs.我的教材
