Ciao! I’m Jovana, a Serbian linguist and Italian language enthusiast with a PhD-level grasp of language mechanics. My summers in Italy didn’t just perfect my Italian—they immersed me in dialects and culture, which I love sharing with students. As a passionate teacher, I blend academic rigor with real-world insights, whether you’re learning Italian, English, or Serbian. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me devouring books or exploring new languages—always with music in the background. Let’s make language learning an adventure!我的教學經歷
I am very easygoing and relaxed. I possess extensive knowledge about being a student, so you don’t need to worry about any mistakes or the problems that may arise along the way. I will assist you in making this journey much smoother, and I’ll be available to answer any questions you might have. During my Master’s, I had the opportunity to teach Italian as a second language, which was an enriching experience. I have also taught students on various platforms. Every student has different needs, so I will prepare everything for the class. It will be interesting and exciting for you to learn. During our classes, I will include video and audio files that can help us achieve our goal. I can assist you in improving your conversation skills, expanding your vocabulary, and learning more about Italy and Italian culture. Con Jovana imparo l'inglese. Lei è un'insegnante davvero eccezionale! Dalla prima lezione sono stato benissimo. È molto simpatica e ti mette a proprio agio fin da subito. È bello riuscire a trovare degli insegnanti che diano un valore significativo alle lezioni, che capiscono le difficoltà nell'apprendere una lingua perché sanno quali sono gli step da fare e in che modo affrontarli, riuscendo a farti amare la lingua che desideri imparare.
Sono entusiasta e non non appena finiamo la lezione non vedo l'ora che arrivi la prossima!

A lovely second encounter with Jovana- we are starting my Italian journey from the basics as I have forgotten so much! Jovana is patient, encouraging and able to share a wealth of knowledge, linguistic as well as cultural, about Italy and the Balkan region, two areas in which I have great interest. I look forward to our next session.

I had a fantastic Italian lesson with Jovana! Her teaching style was engaging, focusing on conversation while offering clear explanations and translations when needed. It made the learning experience both enjoyable and informative. I felt comfortable practicing and really appreciated how she tailored the lesson to my needs.
