Hello 👋🏼! I’m Tom, a certified British English teacher. I work with all levels (beginners to advanced), and I have a lot of experience teaching speaking skills and grammar usage. Whether you’re shy about conversations or need specific help to take your English to the next level, I’m here to help you speak confidently and accurately.
With 19 years’ experience (in colleges since 2006 & online since 2017), I’ve helped students of all levels—from kids to teens to professionals.
Fun fact: I’m learning Spanish in Panamá now, so I totally get the challenges (and joys) of language learning! I also take Spanish lessons weekly on italki.

In general, my lessons focus on helping you to practise speaking. I'm skilful at helping you to develop confidence and improve your accuracy and fluency. I can also help you with specific skills, test preparation, presentations, or any of your English language needs!我的課程內容與教學風格
My lessons are interactive, and I help you to speak as much as possible! I have a patient and calm teaching style. I want to help you grow in confidence. I will support you as you speak and correct you as necessary.

It taught me the skills and knowledge to take my first teaching job. I prepared quality lesson plans and online teaching tools that have been used and appreciated by many teachers and students. I developed materials for various British Council projects including ESOL Nexus, Offender Learning & Anniversaries Project.

English Language LecturerI worked as a lecturer and course organiser for a large college in England. I worked with refugees and international students, preparing them for exams such as IELTS and City & Guilds Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing. I was given much teacher training and development while working here.

Online English TutorI have been teaching adults and children online since 2017. I have experience of teaching one-to-one and groups, from beginner level to advanced. I like teaching grammar, vocabulary and reading skills. I can do free conversations classes or specific lessons on topics of choice.
