Gagan is clearly at home in the language space and seems to be engaged with ideas like ALG and CI. Although I am not a believer in ALG I do believe in CI and think his advice was good. He is also familiar with the IPA and in general phonology. In addition to this the video quality and audio quality was also great. In summary: a true gem in the Hindi teaching space. In our lesson we reviewed pronunciation and did a kind of in-take for my level. It went surprisingly well for my first time speaking Hindi out loud. Gagan made it quite comfortable. I also got some useful tips for hard sounds like the r in ghora and rh in parhna. The only negative thing I have is that Gagan spoke fairly above my level which is probably due to us only having had one lesson. I do expect this will get better at he gets a sharper idea of my skill level in the coming lessons. All in all: miles better than other HIndi tutors I have tried, would recommend!

I've been learning Hindi for four years and started with Vivek to work specifically on speaking confidence, he's exactly right for that. Rather than just correcting me, he shows me the logic underneath, how compound verbs are actually built, what changes when a postposition follows a noun, so things I'd been getting wrong for years have finally clicked. He's patient with the messy part where I'm halfway through a sentence and stuck, and he'll say a phrase along with me until it comes out at natural speed instead of word by word. He also goes well beyond grammar: we've ended up on the difference between अध्यात्म and धर्म, and what संप्रदाय really means, which is what makes the language stick for me. I leave every lesson with pages of notes. Highly recommend if you want to actually speak, not just study.

I can't recommend Shikha highly enough as a Hindi instructor. Her lessons are thoughtfully structured, building on each other so that every session has a clear purpose and I am continuously learning. She gives responsive, specific feedback in the moment, which has made a huge difference in correcting my pronunciation and ensuring I am not responding in English during our lesson. The learning resources she provides are excellent and genuinely useful for studying between sessions. The connection and technology are stable and we dont have any tech issues that would disrupt the lesson. We haven't had any issues with the timing or having to reschedule session. If you're looking for a Hindi teacher who is organized, engaged, and effective, I highly recommend Shikha!

Manshi is a very patient and effective teacher! Ive been learning with her for two years now and I've gone from nearly zero to B2 with her :) She incorporates a lot of different materials and methods in her classes and she is SO knowledgeable about Indian history, culture, etymology, and more generally, literature! I appreciate our classes together and can't wait to visit her someday!

Pratiksha ji is a wonderful teacher! She has been teaching me Hindi for a few months now and we are already having basic conversations in Hindi. She also teaches a style of Hindi that real native speakers speak, rather than 'textbook' Hindi, which is so much more useful. Our lessons have been so helpful that now my 5 year old son is having his own lessons with her too! Pratiksha ji is so good with children and I would absolutely recommend her for all adults and children wanting to learn Hindi. :)

Every lesson with Sanchita ji is full of new lessons and interesting insights! She offers very specific grammar lessons and her homework is incredibly helpful in practicing those grammar constructions. But Sanchita ji is also very flexible with lesson plans and happy to review other materials / questions that come up, going with the flow to develop new lessons around student needs and interests. I will recommend her as a Hindi teacher over and over again!

I have been taking weekly Hindi lessons with Manjit for just over two years, and the progress I have made has truly exceeded my expectations. I came in with absolutely no prior experience in Hindi, and thanks to Manjit's patient, encouraging, and constructive approach, I am now able to hold basic conversations, something I have had the joy of putting into practice during two visits to India where I was able to speak with people there. Lessons are well-structured and keep me accountable through memory tests, reading practice, and grammar homework that we review together. As my vocabulary and reading ability have grown, we have focused more on pronunciation and conversational fluency. Each lesson now includes free-form Hindi conversation time which has done wonders for my confidence. I highly recommend Manjit as a teacher to anyone serious about learning Hindi, and I look forward to continuing our lessons as I work toward even greater fluency.

I had another great lesson with Anshi. She is always very prepared for the lessons. She uses a variety of exercises. Sometimes we do role play, other times she has me read a story and work on translation and grammar, other times she has me work on written Hindi and vocab or do conversational practice. The lessons are a perfect balance of structure and flexibility. She provides me with written notes for the lessons and a Google doc to help me practice throughout the week and is great about following up on past exercises. She is very punctual for the lessons and always gives me extra time past the scheduled class until she feels satisfied that I have had a good lesson. Even though I have been learning Hindi for 6 years, she helps to stretch me out of my comfort zone with the language even more to help push me towards the next level of proficiency. I see improvement with every lesson. I already have future lessons booked and am looking forward to even more!

Anjali is an excellent Hindi teacher and I recommend her for any new learner. Through our 12 lessons together, my ability to speak and understand spoken Hindi continues to grow after I started as an absolute beginner. Classes with Anjali are challenging yet low-stress and fun. She often takes a student-centric approach, teaching through topics that I am interested in such as history and travel. A highlight so far has been a whole lesson centered around learning past tense while simultaneously covering vocabulary related to ancient Indian history. Anjali makes herself available to contact outside of class if I have any questions or study advice. Additionally, she accommodates last minute schedule changes if necessary, which ensures I am still able to make at least one class a week despite my schedule.

I have loved getting to learn Hindi with Priya! Her lessons are always complete with PowerPoints, role plays, and music videos. She is so fun to work with and very patient with my little Hindi skills!
