Elizabeth has such a beautiful personality that it allows me to be more open to making mistakes. When I do make a mistake, she gently corrects me and encourages me to try again. I loved her personal stories and would love to know more about her and her experiences in the Philippines! She is truly amazing at teaching, as she is quite patient, attentive, and caring. The materials she uses are easy to follow and understand, so I'm having no issues there. Overall, it was a great first lesson, and I'm looking forward to the next one!

Kuya Joey is the best Tagalog teacher I've had. He's organized and has an explanation for everything. I learn very quickly in his classes. Aside from that, he always shows up to class and is super professional, but also laid back enough to make you feel comfortable. I would 100% recommend him to anyone wanting to learn Tagalog

Every lesson with Meinard is soooo fun. He keeps things light but productive. He is very good at finding gaps in my language and letting me know how to fix them. I am at a point where we can start the lessons with just chit chat, but once he realizes I don't understand a word, misunderstand how to use a grammar point, or just don't get the context he always slows down, backs up, and explains it in a way I understand. Can't wait for the next lesson!

I continue to be very satisfied with my lessons with Adrian every week. In this past lesson, we reviewed and edited a script that was written for a presentation and we discussed how to make it much more palatable to everyday people, the target audience of the presentation. This lesson helped me out a lot, and I really encourage folks to sign up for this class if they want to improve their fluency and speaking in different settings.

I have had five amazing lessons with Miss Kane. As someone currently completing a Master of Teaching and who has met many teachers, I can confidently say she is one of the best teachers I have had. She is incredibly well organised and interactive in her teaching. She constantly checks in to make sure I understand the content and makes every lesson engaging. She also remembers the stories I share and often connects them back to the lesson, which makes the learning feel very personal. I will continue to have may lessons with her. I can’t recommend her enough :)

Yves is an amazing teacher. He’s very professional, knowledgeable, and you can clearly see he has a lot of experience teaching. He explains things in a simple and practical way, goes straight to the point, and makes every lesson productive. I feel comfortable speaking, asking questions, and practicing. I’m truly learning Tagalog step by step with him. Highly recommended!

I completed Jhoy’s Tagalog Survival Kit, and the quality is exceptional. Her PowerPoints are clear, well-structured, and make each lesson easy to follow. Everything is organized and executed with real intention. It’s obvious she puts in far more preparation than most. Her materials and teaching flow show real experience and thoughtful design. Highly recommended.

I have had the pleasure of working with Teacher Victoria for over 9 months. Around the start of my Tagalog journey, I happened to stumble upon her amazing intro video. Right away I knew from the way she expressed herself through her energy, creativity, and passion for teaching Tagalog that it was an absolute must for me to see if she was a fit. After completing our first lesson, there was no question at all on who I wanted to invest my time and energy with. Over the course of my time with Victoria, she has taught me so much about Tagalog and Filipino culture. Whether it be analyzing trendy songs, watching YT videos, listening to her podcasts, or just having fun light-hearted chats I have gained so much knowledge and insight that I cannot thank her enough for all she has given me. Teacher Victoria I believe is one of the best teachers on italki and I highly recommend her if you would like to learn from someone who is so kind, supportive, dedicated, and an absolute joy to work with.
