In just a few classes I have made significant improvement in my ability to speak Tamil! Renu does a compbination of grammar lessons and open-ended conversation, so you get to learn the rules and also practice speaking. I would recommend her to anyone!

I am a professor of public health in the United States and have been taking Tamil lessons with Dr. Amirthakadeswarar for a month now. I am incredibly impressed by the breath of his knowledge of Tamil and by his love for the language and his dedication to impart that love to his students. To learn a language well, it is not enough merely to learn the vocabulary and the grammar. It is also incumbent upon the student to deeply understand the roots of the language and to appreciate its inherent beauty, through exposure to its poetry and literature. My desire to learn Tamil is to improve my ability to be able to communicate with communities about the science of public health, and while we learn that, Dr. A also shares his bountiful expertise about the history and culture underlying the language. He is a kind and patient teacher and is a pleasure to work with him. I can say with confidence that it is extremely rare to find another teacher like him and I strongly recommend him.

Jasmine is amazing teacher! Her lessons are well organized, she makes everything more easy to understand. She provides useful examples for real life situations and notes after every lesson. Divya has taught me Tamil for nearly a year now, and I am incredibly lucky to have her as a teacher. She has patiently taken me from a complete beginner to both steadily improving my language skills and developing a broad spectrum of cultural knowledge. I ask so many questions on Tamil backstory to many words and questions and Aarthy always provides compelling information when she can.
