Yes, it is difficult. I studied for a long time, about 20 months and although I read elementary French somewhat well, I had a real difficult time saying even the simplest of sentences. I then realized, that the main problem was that I had not memorized the various basic verbs and their conjugations. Once I focused on that, it began to click in my brain. If you can afford it, I would also recommend the cheapest French tutor you can find on Italki and start having those introductory conversations. Make yourself say every thing in French if possible. It will be awkward and you will be probably feel stupid, but that is the way it goes.

There are many beneficial free videos on French Truly that will help you.

Readland is also great site to check out as is Kwiziq , but there is a small cost involved.

I know others are more difficult, but French isn't easy by any means. Verb conjugation is the worst part.

If you are interested in routines, you would really enjoy Mason Currey's books entitled "Daily Rituals." In them, you can read about the work habits of scientists, composers, authors, artists, etc. His second book is focused exclusively on women since he felt he did not include enough of them in his first book.

I can't tell you how much I Love These Books! Each profile is only a page or two so it is very easy to read in short spurts if you so desire. I've read each of them several times.

I'm sorry the response hasn't been what you hoped. There is simply so much competition! I did speak to a couple of people from Turkey, but they were five or six dollars an hour. I wouldn't necessarily be put off by $10 an hour but any amount of money is difficult for some people.

If I were you, I would spend some time looking at other teacher profiles who have had a good number of students and try to emulate them to the extent you can and are comfortable doing so. You have to sell what people want to buy.
