Today, I stayed home and cooked a meal. I made stuffed bell peppers with ground meat, and I was really happy with how they turned out. They were delicious, and it felt satisfying to make something tasty by myself. I haven’t cooked much recently, so maybe that’s why it tasted even better than usual. It reminded me how fun and rewarding cooking can be.

Why is “infirmation” considered uncountable and used as “all infirmation,” but “truth” considered countable and used as “(the) whole truth”?

Today, I listened to a talk by a company expert about job hunting. I didn’t know much about job hunting before, but I learned many new things from the talk. One piece of advice that I remember clearly is this: “Don’t lie during interviews.” He said that if you lie, you may regret it in the future. I think that is very true. After hearing that, I decided I will never lie in an interview. I want to be honest and show who I really am. The talk was very helpful, and I’m glad I listened to it.

Stormy weather today. I started at the gym this morning, knowing I'd spend the afternoon in music class. My guitar tutor was impressed by my diligence, though rather less so by the state of my fingernails – they were so sore and ragged from plucking, I thought they might come off! Clearly, I have overdone the plunking lately. Meanwhile, MeeMaw and Mom enjoyed themselves at a nearby cafe. We truly are blessed. Defying doctors’ predictions, MeeMaw has not only survived this long but improves daily thanks to her medication. My prayers were answered!

I attended my relative’s wedding. It was my first time at a wedding, so it was a really good experience. My relative married a French person, so there were many French guests at the venue, and I think I was able to have a little bit of cultural exchange. I realized that French is completely different from English and seems like a difficult language. I thought it would be really fun if I could actually speak it. Everyone was kind and wonderful. Since it was a Shinto-style ceremony, the kimonos were very beautiful. I thought it was amazing that Japanese culture can be shared with people from different countries. At the same time, I became curious about what a French wedding would be like. I think cultural differences are interesting and there’s so much to learn from them. It also made me want to visit France. The weather was a bit bad, but I had a really great time.
