Más de 17 años de experiencia I never thought that teaching could be the right job for me, but - here I am - seventeen years and around a thousand of students later. At some point, I realised that teaching had become a passion. My professional experience before italki was focused mainly on exam preparation both in English (e.g. Cambridge, Trinity) and German (Goethe Institut, telc) and included - apart from the usual group and individual, intensive and regular courses - level-testing and organising mock exams. For several years, I also worked as an English examiner and corrector at one of the universities in Spain. I hold a C2 Certificate in Spanish (DELE).

I love helping others, and learning French too Since 2015 I have taught full time to students from 13 to 65 years of age, from basic academic skills to advanced business levels (for companies like Amazon, LinkedIn, Burger King and Walmart), and to people from all continents; always adapting to their needs. I got my certification as a foreign language teacher from the National Autonomous University of Mexico in 2019. I can switch from English to Spanish or vice versa if needed (but I generally prefer only to speak in the language I teach), and I can also support with different accents, formal expressions or slang. I have helped others presenting international certifications such as the IELTS, TOEFL and USA and Mexico citizenship.

Teaching is a late calling for me. In July, 2010, I obtained the Master in Teaching (Bolonia endorsed). I had been a support teacher in Middle and High Schools, an English teacher in Spain and a teacher of Spanish abroad (a year and a half in Norway as a ‘spansklærer’), and this year I was offered the chance to become a teacher in the Spanish Department in the Southern Federal University at Rostov on Don (Yu-Fu). Tough as I said I had experience teaching kids and youngsters, right now I dont want to have this kind of students and less if it is unannounced and without giving me the chance to decide if I want them or not (two experiences of the sort lately)

As a teacher, I like to create lessons that are fully adapted to my students. I like to know why students want to learn a language and which are the things that can spark their passion for learning. I like to make feel students welcome, comfortable and not afraid to make mistakes. I am accessible and friendly. My speciality is the pronunciation and the improvement in vocabulary in order to reach a good fluency. Through the years I managed to adquire a rich vocabulary in spanish and english, and also an excellent pronunciation (nearly native). I enjoy interpersonal contacts with other people. I've taught English during my travels as a volunteer in local schools and recently after two years of teaching on Italki I've upgraded to a professional language teacher. My approach is mainly intuitive. To improve my teaching skills I took a 120 hrs online TEFL course to be able to explain specific grammar issues to my students. I can teach beginners and intermediate students who'd like to build and reinforce their learning through speaking practice. I love languages and myself I'm learning Japanese and French at the moment and that's why I can easily understand your difficulties with memorizing new words and frustrations of not being able to pronounce things correctly.
