Wat-san appears in "Minna no Nihongo," but can everyone pronounce the name correctly?

It's Wat, not "Waat." This pronunciation is very important. Many students pronounce it without properly stopping the sound. Even if you don't pronounce "Wat-san" correctly, most people will understand. However, many similar words will come up later, such as "kite," "kitte," "kaite," and "katte."

If you don't properly skip the small "っ," even Japanese people can get confused often.

Please try pronouncing it once: "Wat-san." You shouldn’t hold your breath tightly in your stomach. You also shouldn’t hold the air in your mouth. If you do, you’ll definitely end up saying "Waat-san" again. Use a little of your throat and stomach. It’s "Wat-san."

E - Eu sou da Espanha. 
R - Ah, legal! Pronto, tem uma palestra agora na sala meia oito. E - Desculpe, qual sala? R - Meia oito. Estrangeiro - Você pode escrever? R - Não sabe o que é meia oito? Sessenta e oito, assim, veja 68. E - Entendi, meia é seis! R - Correto, meia é seis. Mas não vá embora, só mais uma informação, a organização do congresso está cobrando uma pequena taxa para quem quiser ficar com o material, como dvds e apostilas. O senhor gostaria? E - Quanto tenho que pagar? R - Dez reais, porém estrangeiros e estudantes pagam meia. E - Hum, que bom! Aí está seis reais! R - Não, o senhor paga meia, só cinco, entende? E - Pago meia, só cinco? R – Isso mesmo, meia é cinco. E– Tudo bem, entendi. R - Cuidado para não se atrasar, a palestra começa às nove e meia, Senhor? E - Então eu já me atrasei, porque já são nove e vinte. R - Não, ainda faltam dez minutos, como falei, só começa às nove e meia. E - Pensei que fosse às nove e cinco, pois meia não é cinco? Você pode escrever aqui a hora que começa? R - Nove e meia, assim, veja, nove horas e trinta minutos. E - Ah, entendi, meia é trinta. R - Isso mesmo, meia é trinta. Mais uma coisa, Senhor, tenho aqui um folder de um hotel que está fazendo um preço especial para os congressistas, o senhor já está hospedado? E - Sim, eu já estou hospedado na casa de um amigo. R - Em qual bairro, Senhor? E - No trinta bocas. R - Trinca bocas? Não existe esse bairro em Fortaleza. Não seria seis bocas? E - Isso mesmo, no bairro meia-boca. R - Não é meia-boca, é um bairro nobre, um bairro chique! E – Ah, então deve ser cinco bocas. R - Não, seis bocas, entende? Chama assim porque é um encontro de seis ruas, por isso seis bocas, entendeu? E - Ah, e quem há de entender!

Japanese daily life podcast のAtsushiです。
このPodcastは、日本語を楽しく勉強しているみなさんに向けたPodcastです。

ぼくの日常生活の話を聞くことで、日本語のリスニングをよくしたり、新しい言葉を知ってもらえたらいいなと思います。


みなさんお元気でしょうか。
今日からジョージアでPodcastを録っています。

前回のPodcastに続き、今回は日本に住んでいる外国人、日本語学習者のみなさん向けに、大きな地震が起こったらどうしたらいいか、を話します。

これはNHKの情報を参考にします。

① 建物の中にいるとき
地震が起こったら、テーブルの下などに入ります。
そして、揺れが止まるまで待ちます。

理由は、上から物が落ちてきたり、大きな家具が倒れるかもしれないからです。

危ないですね。

ガスを使っていたら、揺れが止まってから消しましょう。


② 外に逃げるとき
ブレーカーをOFFにします。
それから外に出ます。

これは時間があればしましょう。
急いで逃げる時はそんなことはできないですね。

地震があると電気が止まることがあります。停電します。

あとで電気が戻った時、ストーブなどが火事になることがります。そのために、ブレーカーをOFFにします。

③ 外にいるとき
ビルの近くはあぶないです。
看板などが落ちるかもしれません。

山やがけもあぶないです。

公園のような広い場所に逃げましょう。

④家に帰るとき
大きな地震があると、電車やバスが止まります。
安全な場所でしばらく待ちます。

道や駅は人がたくさんいるとあぶないです。

ニュースなどを見て、安全だとわからって帰りましょう。

⑤ 家で生活ができないとき
建物がこわれて家で生活できないとき、避難所にいきます。
食べ物や飲み物をもらえるかもしれません。

たくさんの人がいるかもしれません。
かぜなど引きやすいので、健康に気をつけます。

日本では、1/1にあった石川県の地震の影響がつづいています。

雪も降って、とても大変です。


今回のPodcastでは、日本にいるとき、もし地震が起こったらすることを話しました。
