Something Good happened Yesterday Yesterday, I was told good news: my friend, at the age of 40, gave birth to a lovely son who weighed 3.3 kilograms. The baby looks so healthy and adorable. It is a huge challenge for a 40-year-old woman to have her first child and to choose a natural way of giving birth. I must give a big thumb-up to my friend. She didn't make sufficient preparation for pregnancy like other couples. She joked that it was really a gift of faith. Her pregnancy was very painful both physically and mentally and required medication, injections, prenatal check-ups and so on. Every time she went to the hospital for a check-up, she had to wait in a long line and faced misunderstandings from other persons. However, she persevered which is truly what the power of a mother’s love is about. I hope that medical technology will develop rapidly so that more elderly pregnant ladies won't have to suffer.
