Writing almost random sentences in Hiragana (2nd Attempt) わたし　の　ねこ　は　[wet]　たべもの　が　すき。 (My cat likes moist food.) [I wasn't sure what the correct word for "wet" was since there were so many different choices. I was going to use "しめる", what do you think? Was that the right choice? Why or why not?] わたし　の　でんわ　みどり　です。(My phone is green.) わんぴいす　の　るふぃ，とらふぁるが は　わたし　の　すきな　きゃらくたあ　です。(Luffy and Trafalgar from One Piece are my favorite characters.) とり　は　さえずる　に　そと。(The birds outside sing.) おんがく　は　じんせい　です。 (Music is life.) わたし　は　あさごはん　たべない　です。 (I didn't eat breakfast.) Thank you for taking the time to read all these sentences! I must admit for the third line I used google translate because I wasn't sure how to construct the sentence together, but google translate cannot be trusted most of the time. Doing my best to get out of the habit of using it so that I can learn on my own. It's just making larger sentences that I'm tempted to check if it's correct. [I wish I could say "I am in a good mood" instead]) わたし　の　ねこ　わ　ねて うしろ の なか に わたし の のうとぱそこん。 (My cat is sleeping behind my laptop.) わたし　わ　ＢＬＴ　を　たべています。(I ate a BLT.[I wish I could add "for lunch" afterwards but I don't know how.]) Please correct me on any mistakes! Comparing two words [tomodachi vs nakama] and their differences in Japanese. What is the difference between "tomodachi" and "nakama"? I assume they both mean friend, but what is the correct way to use them? When would I use "nakama" if at all? Example sentences to compare would be appreciated. Also, what is the word in Japanese for "or" in English?

What is another way to say "How are you?" in Japanese? I realize that "Ogenki desuka?" literally translates into "Are you healthy?" and that must be odd to ask everyday, I'm sure. So what are other alternative ways to ask this?

Could someone give me some insight of the basic structure of a Japanese sentence? I'm still confused on where, when, and why I should use "ga, wa, wo, no, to, de, ne, na" and so on in between Japanese words in any basic sentence. I'm not sure what they mean or how they make the sentence proper. What is it telling the other person exactly? If you could give some example sentences that'd be a great help, too.
