Hello, I’m Sertaç, a native Turkish teacher with an academic background in Turkish language and grammar.
I hold a BA in Turkish Language and Literature and an MA in Turkish Grammar, and previously worked as a university researcher.
For nearly five years, I have been teaching Turkish as a foreign language through one-on-one online lessons and group courses. I also hold a Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language Certificate approved by Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University.
My lessons focus on clear explanations, structured grammar, and a thoughtful, learner-centered approach.

Students often describe me as a patient, organized, and supportive teacher.
Having learned foreign languages that are very different from my own, I know how challenging it can feel—especially when you are trying to speak and find the right words. That’s why I try to create a comfortable and encouraging atmosphere, where making mistakes is a natural part of learning.
I truly enjoy meeting people from different cultures, and I believe good communication starts with listening. In my lessons, I make sure students feel heard, understood, and confident enough to express themselves at their own pace. Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil
offer different types of lessons, and each course follows a specific approach suited to its purpose.
In General Turkish Lessons, my aim is to develop the four core language skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—in a balanced way. At the same time, I recognize that learners often have personal priorities, such as focusing more on speaking or comprehension. For this reason, students’ needs and goals shape these lessons.
Literature-based courses are structured differently. They focus on reading authentic texts, discussion, and gradually learning to think and express ideas in Turkish, with reading and interpretation at their core.Mein Unterrichtsmaterial

I have been learning Turkish with Sertaç for over 8 months and I have completed 60 lessons with him. Sertaç is an amazing teacher and I would highly recommend him! Since I started learning Turkish with Sertaç my Turkish has really improved. I really enjoy our lessons together because he is always well-prepared, patient and encouraging. Our lessons are also really varied and interesting. In our lessons Sertaç ensures that I also learn about Turkish culture, literature, and history. I feel lucky that I’m able to learn Turkish with him and I hope to continue learning Turkish with him for a long time.

I highly recommend Sertaç, since he is a very professional and friendly teacher. I have enjoyed his classes and learnt a lot. He has a wide knowledge not only about language, but about literature and culture as well. His lessons are well prepared and structured, so you will learn a lot.
Sertaç çok profesyonel ve iyi kalpli bir öğretmen. Sadece dil hakkında değil, edebiyat ve kültür hakkında da çok bilgisi olduğu için dersi hakikatten çok faydalı oluyor. Dersi aynı zamanda da çok iyi hazırlanmış ve bu yüzden çok verimli.

Turkish is certainly a hard language for someone who have just got started. But Sertaç is super patient and always explains everything very well :)

Our lessons with “benim öğretmenim😁” are very perfect! Everytime I learn new informations a lot. We speak a lot of Turkish and gradually learn new grammatical rules. Such type of lessons suits me best. I see progress in my knowledge and I want to continue my studies with teacher Sertaç. Always I wait new lessons very much.
