I believe that long-term commitment is a very effective way to learn (especially for languages), but I don't mind shorter learning paths for those who are not sure or those who already have some prior knowledge. On my side, I am available in finding a solution that works for both the student and me and I understand the importance of student's needs; however, I do think that the essential ingredient for success is student's commitment.
