If the language learning is a journey, we should enjoy the ride more than the destination! 🙃 I have a TEFL certificate and I've given English classes to children in China. I was an interpreter of LIBRAS for 3 years and I've helped deaf people for almost 10 years. I have also worked as a translator from English to Portuguese. What I love the most about teaching Portuguese is the variety of accents and regional expressions we find in such a big country as Brazil! I've studied many methodologies and I apply them to help my students achieve their goals.

CELTA certification acquired in December 2020. My experience started in 2018 in Peru where I taught English in two language schools for a year. In the meantime I applied to be a community tutor here at Italki where I have been teaching not only English but also Portuguese and Spanish. My passion for teaching only grew with the time so I took a CELTA certificate in the end of 2020 and this experience provided me with a solid base and opened the way in many aspects of my career.

Teaching English and Portuguese online over 6 years I've been teaching kids, teenagers and adults from different countries for more than 3 years. So, working with these people helped me to understand some common struggles among students. I assisted these peers mainly with grammar, conversation practice, pronunciation, listening, and accent reduction. Many of my students after some classes became more confident to speak in English. They could understand me and other people, beyond achieving their goals like being admitted at job interviews and different applications.

I also have a degree in English teaching and the CELTA Certificate by University of Cambridge. I've been learning English since I was 11, and teaching it since I was 16. I spent 5 months in Germany in 2017 and this experience abroad made me develop great intercultural skills - I love meeting students from all over the world and not just teaching them, but learning so much from them at the same time. Throughout my career, I have taught kids, teenagers and adults, in English schools and at the university. Since 2020, I've been working exclusively with private online classes to adults (16+).
