My name is Adam and I'm currently a graduate student studying mathematics. However, I love learning foreign languages in my spare time (whenever that is!). I'm currently at an advanced beginner to intermediate level with German. My vocabulary and general conversational skills need a lot work. I am also actively studying Hindi. I love Indian food and culture in general. I also enjoy watching Bollywood movies. Aamir Khan is my favorite actor.

    The only way to improve your spoken English is to well... speak! This is the point of italki! :) Finding an exchange partner who is patient seems like it would be the best way to improve one's speaking ability. I definitely agree with what Bruce and Kai have said. I really enjoy listening to songs when learning a foreign language. Learning songs allows me to improve my vocabulary, get use to speaking, and analyze the grammar. Watching movies is also great, as Kai said.

    A few of my favorites are Kite Runner, Fight Club, The One World Schoolhouse, and The Alchemist. The Bhagavad Gita and Siddhartha are also two of my favorites. :)

    My family

    There is are five people in my family. My parents, my grandmother, my brother, and me I. But we stay unhappy. Because of my grandmother, my parents often hate each other (my parents often argue a lot). My father won't use money on my mother (My father won't spend any money on my mother). Although My family is not poor, but I would rather have a happy family than ruch rich one.

     

    In the second sentence, one should say "I" instead of "me" because "parents", "grandmother", "brother", and "I" are the subjects of the sentence. You would use "me" when you are the object of the sentence, as in "He gave me five dollars."
