3.1. You can make sentences with 'too' as well as 'to'?

Which is right ?

I mean I want students to make sentences, they can use one of them, but not both at a time, which they can use 'too' to make sentences, or they can use 'to' to make sentences.

Let’s face the difficulties of learning this language. China has been a strong economy, and mega citizens are expected to learn it well by parents and government. So many measures and policies have been adopted by government in decades. First, the family of these two languages are so different. Different wording, different pronunciation, and different grammar structures as well as listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, are major problems in China. In my experience, the most difficulties are input and output skills. Chinese language does not have liaison, contraction and reduction, but it really does in rapid English. So now the mode of teaching English in China has changed from written language to integrated skills. Second, the mode of thinking and making speech are always disturbed by our mother tongue, some words in a sentence are very easy to read out loud, but the learners do not perceive the meaning very well. A lot of them fall for it in the middle of learning process, background knowledge and cultures which are supposed to be taken into consideration. From my point of view, effective learners should master the way to explore the language world and develop the perspective ability of this language. For instance, due to massive input resources, the learners are able to sing English songs, do a speech, and read news or newsletters including novels and magazines, especially the competence and confidence of using English are required. In a nut shell, the Tesol teachers have the bulk of the responsibilities to make great progress in TELT , and make it possible that we are teaching not only knowledge but also the ability of SLA.

The changes in the classroom. In the past years, students only learn this language by rote. They spelled the words like what they memorized in order. They wrote what they memorized in their head, and never had a chance to express a word in the process of learning. With language training schools run by many educators and a great many effective teaching techniques adopted, the concepts of Tesol are growing fast and steadily in China. Because we know students better than any other foreign teacher in class. Nearly these years, the students really have great merits of learning English. That is to say, ”Think locally, act internationally!” In the classroom, we focus on the three dimensions of grammar. They are form(accuracy), meaning(meaningfulness), and use (appropriateness). This is true of any grammatical structures. And more and more teaching approaches are effectively used nowadays, such as 3P method, TPR, PBL, TBL, the whole language, direct method and communicative method. Enough practice is the one core among these methods, this step involves intellectual challenging, multiple intelligence, and real situation with meaningfulness. So the learners are being built up great interest, pleasure, and confidence in learning this language.

Why do tons of learners whoever are young or old take English lessons? Because all walks of life have the awareness of the cross-culture concepts. People should become more aware of cultural differences, should become inter-culturally competent, and should become more than just a language learner. The students have to acquire a more global view of the world and discuss how their personal values affect acceptance of other cultures. Culture is like an iceberg, which is not like food, music or dress that we talk daily, but it has very small portion above the waterline, most of it is beneath the waterline, so that is what the culture is. The learner should get the impact of the culture implication of this language. In a word, culture in English language teaching is the bond of all aspects of languages, and learners are able to transfer the information all together face to face, online, or in the international schools. That is why lots of students learn English, and also we are trained to be proficient and skilled teachers. We actually benefit from the Tesol course.

The future vision of Tesol in China, it has been proved that lots of countries and regions have adopted the way of teaching English, the classroom is not the teacher-centered, but it belongs to the students who are in the classroom taking English lessons. We can fairly see, in the future, with the booming of economy in China, more and more learners will benefit from learning English. It is no longer high marks, it is more of that students should acquire language skills fluently, and communicate powerfully and confidently.
