Well. I want to be thankful of having a great neighbour who lived below me. The reason why I want to be thankful is that they’ve taken care of me like their daughter sometimes. They’re so generous and warm-hearted. There was a time when they gave me one boiled egg in the morning everyday because they were worried of that I did not have time to cook. They always invited me to have dinner together when they cooked some delicious dishes. As a return, I also bought and shared some stuff with them. We built a quite strong connection. The funny thing is that our relations was not that good at the beginning, because when I first moved to the current apartment, the sound-proofing between floors was not good. They came to me and said I made too much noise which could not let them sleep. Basically it was the noise when I vacuumed the floor. So, I apologized and promised I would not clean after 9pm moving forwards. Afterwards, the old woman still came to me and asked if I was making some noises, and I got a bit upset, because I was laying on the bed while she heard it. It turned out the noise coming from the next door of me. One time, she came to me again, and said she could not sleep because the water dripping sound on their air conditioner annoyed her. Then she asked me to fix the leaking problem of my air condition, so I called an repairman and fixed it. Because she was talking loudly and quickly, each time when she came to me, I felt a bit annoyed as well. Besides, her attitude was more like giving an order to me, instead of politely requesting. So, I tried to avoid her every time when I met her in the building. Things changed one day. I was taking out some stuff to throw away, and she saw me and stopped me, said that she wanted to take a look if there was anything she could use. I thought it was great, because if she could reuse them, that would reduce the waste. She took some stuff then, and afterwards, she started to cook me food as payback.

What did you have as your dream when you were a kid? Why? - I wanted to be a pilot, because I always watched Toy Story during my free time. Woody and Buzz are flying in one of the scenes. I watched it and though, I want to be like that. My parents told me about airlines and I said that “I want to be a pilot!” in kindergarten, but I noticed that I had to be able to study math and science. So I could not be a pilot. However, my father often traveled from Japan to work. I would pick up my father with my mother, and younger sister and go to Haneda Airport. I love watching the airplanes and my feelings changed. If I cannot be a pilot then I want to work at the airport. Certainly, it is said that airlines are bad for environment, but they are futuristic and inspiring. I hope to change the situation of airlines someday. Therefore, I continue to have the same dream as when I was a kid. Anyway, I just finished the winter vacation. I met my university friends. If you are busy, why don’t you talk to your friends? I got help from a friend. I actually had a lot of a part time jobs during the winter vacation. It was too hard for me, so I wanted to meet my friends. I hope you stay healthy this year.

My favourite place to relax is at a book store. There are many book stores in Tokyo and Jimbocho is very popular and known as book town. They have not only new books, but also second hand books. The town’s atmosphere is academic and calm. It also has some old cafes, so I sometimes go there with a book.

Today would have been an average day if I hadn't been passionate about English! It gives me many opportunities to meet many amazing people everyday. Isn't it wonderful?
