Composition: My Pet Cat My cat, Tora, is the coolest furball ever! He's gray and white with big green eyes that sparkle like emeralds. Most of the time, he's a fluffy cuddle monster who purrs like a tiny motorboat. But sometimes, Tora zooms around the house, leaping over furniture and chasing imaginary butterflies. His favorite toy is a feathery thing on a stick, and he attacks it with ninja-like pounces. Of course there’s always a setback, Tora sometimes became deranged and pisssed on our couch, like today, which made Mom furious again. But that doesn’t affect my love for him, I just can hardly imagine not having Tora around.

I’m going to get going on the decorating next week. Get going means .......... . . . . . . 🙂😉🙂😉🙂😉

It is a frustrating period when I cannot see any progress in my language learning journey. Here are several ideas about overcomig a language plateau. First, try different methods. If I feel stuck, it might be time to switch from reading texts to watching dramas, or writing a diary to joining a language exchange event. These changes keep learning process fun. Second, set a target. I sometimes take English tests. After booking the date, I start feeling pressured to get a good result. I plan a schedule and set aside time for study. A short term goal motivates me. Third, continue anyway. If it is already a part of daily routine, learning does not require that effort. It is a nice feeling to look back on how far I have come occasionally. Although those practices are easier said than done, I am commited to taking my English to the next level.

Many people would think that teenagers should be given the chance to make amends and have second lives. Because they think when a teenager committed a crime, the teenager should not be the only one to blame, but also his parent and sometimes the society. Well it is understandable. But if you put yourself in victim's shoes, it is never too easy to say forgive, especially when it comes to some vicious crimes. The bad result would not change whatever it is caused by a teenager or an adult. In terms of justice, I support teenagers that commit major crimes should take the same responsibility as an adult. Because it is talking about major crimes, we have no rights to forgive a murder or rapist on behalf of the victims. Showing mercy to criminals can never come first than victims.

I especially admire somebody who can keep himself disciplined. I can see so many miracle things they can do that I wish I could. In the past, I tried and tried but failed. Now, an idea came up to me: I will divide things I want to do into small pieces. For instance, if I want to keep myself from scrolling the Facebook or Youtube unpurposely for a year, I will challenge myself not to do it in only one day first. If one day is still a struggle for me, I will make it 5 minutes of scrolling a day then gradually increase the challenging time to one week, then two week. Let see if I can do it! I hope so.
