This morning, I woke up with a sore throat. It was hard to eat breakfast because it hurt when I swallowed. At first, I thought it was just because of dry air. But then I noticed that many of my friends also had sore throats and raspy voices. Maybe a cold is going around. Today, I drank a lot of water and tried to rest as much as I could. I will go to bed early tonight to help my body recover. I really hope I feel better tomorrow. Being sick during summer break is the worst!

Today, I met my high school friends. We were all in the dance club, so we decided to dance together for the first time in a while. I taught them the rock dance I did at the school festival last year. It was so fun, and we all really enjoyed it.

This noon, my daughter and I have just read the story about the fishman and the goldfish. Of course, the main character was neither the fishman nor the fish, it's the woman, the fishman's greedy wife who was asking for too much without doing anything. All of us know the result of the story. The woman got back to her poor life due to her greed. This story told us that everyone has to be thankful for the people who helped us. The goldfish kept his promise to make one of the couple's wishes come ture. The woman should thank the fish's help, but she didn't and wanted to rule the whole world. This reminds me of the famous Chinese saying goes that a snake dreamed to swallow a whole elephant, but died of being stuffed. Greedis something we should fight against throughout our life. It looks like a sugar-coated bomb. If we finish the sweet coat, it will explode and swallow us in a second. Only we always consider to thank others who help us and just get what we are supposed to get, our life can be full of energy. When the flowers smell nice, the bees will come over without invitation.
