"The Mouse and the Snake" is a short story by David Sedaris that explores themes of fear, vulnerability, and the unexpected connections between strangers. 東日本大地震(ひがしにほんだいしんさい)から13年になりました。
2万人を超える人が、亡(な)くりました。

日本では、学校や会社で避難訓練(ひなんくんれん)があります。

避難(ひなん)とは、逃げることです。

訓練(くんれん)とは、練習(れんしゅう)することです。

避難訓練とは地震(じしん)のとき、

逃(に)げる練習をすることです。

そのときに、大切(たいせつ)なことがあります。

それは「お・は・し・も」です。

おはしもって何？ですよね。

おはしもとは、

おさない
走らない
しゃべらない
もどらない

のことです。

それを「おはしも」といいます。

地震があったとき、この「おはしも」を思い出します。

そうしてパニックにならないようにします。

この「おはしも」はいつ、習うと思いますか？
