Descrizione
Level A2 (approx. band 3-4) · Academic and General Training In the Speaking test, the examiner asks you to talk about people, places and things. You need describing words. Many learners say "My city is very beauty" or "I speak English good" or "The film was very bored". In this episode: • Where adjectives go • Adverbs with -ly • Good and well • Bored or boring? • Simple describing words for speaking • Listening lab • Language bridge • Practice • Self-check questions with answers Key points: • An adjective goes before the noun, or after be, and it never takes -s. • Adjective describes a noun. Adverb describes a verb. Most adverbs end in -ly, but fast, hard and late do not change. • Good describes a noun. Well describes a verb. Remember: a good cook cooks well. • -ed is how you feel. -ing is the thing that makes you feel it. • Use two or three exact adjectives, not "good" and "nice" every time. IELTS Complete Course: a self-study podcast from A1 to C2 for Academic and General Training. Listen, pause and answer, then take the 52-question quiz. Audio voiced with AI from an original script by Dr. Rashmi R Nair. Independent course, not affiliated with the IELTS test owners.
