في أوقات الحصار،
لا يصبح الخبز مجرد طعام.
بل يصبح معنى.

في القدس،
حين تُغلق الأبواب،
وتضيق الطرق،
ويقلّ ما يدخل إلى المدينة،
يبدأ الناس بحساب الأشياء الصغيرة.

كم تبقى من الطحين؟
كم يومًا يكفي هذا المخزون؟
وهل يكفي للجميع؟

في الأزقة القديمة،
كانت رائحة الخبز تخرج من أفران الحي،
لكنها لم تكن كالمعتاد.

لم تعد الأرغفة كبيرة،
ولا ساخنة دائمًا،
ولا متوفرة لكل من يمر.

كانت الأمهات يقسمن الرغيف
بدقة،
كأنهن يقسمن الوقت نفسه.

في الحصار،
يتعلّم الناس الاقتصاد في كل شيء.
حتى في اللقمة.

كان الخبز يُخبز أحيانًا
بما توفر من حبوب،
وأحيانًا يُخلط الطحين
بما يسدّ الحاجة.

ومع ذلك،
حين يخرج الرغيف من الفرن،
يبقى المشهد نفسه:
بخار خفيف،
رائحة دافئة،
وأيدٍ تنتظر.

لم يكن الخبز مجرد طعام،
بل رسالة صمود.
طالما أن هناك من يخبز،
فهناك من يصرّ على الحياة.

القدس عرفت حصارات كثيرة عبر تاريخها،
وتغيّرت الأزمنة،
لكن صورة الرغيف
بقيت واحدة.

رغيف بسيط،
يحمله طفل بيدين صغيرتين،
ويمشي به في زقاق ضيق،
كأنه يحمل المدينة كلها.

هكذا كان الخبز في القدس وقت الحصار:
قليلًا في الكمية،
كبيرًا في المعنى.
