Have you ever been to a baseball game?

Tiam:
No, never. I've watched a few games on TV, but I didn't understand much.

Emma:
That's okay. I'll explain the basics.

Tiam:
Great! I'm ready to learn.

(They arrive at the stadium.)

Tiam:
Wow! This place is huge.

Emma:
It sure is. Baseball is a big part of American culture.

Tiam:
There are so many people wearing the same jersey.

Emma:
They're supporting their favorite team.

Tiam:
The fans seem really excited.

Emma:
Just wait until the game starts.

Everyone is cheering!

Emma:
Someone just hit a home run!

Tiam:
Now I understand why everyone is so happy!

Emma:
Exactly! That's one of the most exciting moments in baseball.

(Later in the game.)

Tiam:
I'm actually enjoying this more than I expected.

Emma:
See? Baseball is fun once you understand it.

Tiam:
I still don't know all the rules...

Emma:
That's okay. Nobody learns everything in one day.

Tiam:
Maybe next time I'll know what's happening before you explain it.
