Insegnante professionistađ°ïž El pretĂ©rito imperfecto en español
We use the pretérito imperfecto to talk about how things were in the past, not about what happened.
It describes:
habits
customs
background situations
what was going on
đ It is like the present tense, but in the past.
đč When do we use it?
We use the imperfect when we talk about:
1ïžâŁ Habits in the past
Cuando era niño, jugaba en la calle.
Los domingos Ăbamos al parque.
2ïžâŁ How things were
La casa era grande.
El barrio era tranquilo.
3ïžâŁ What was happening
