Diary Entry for July 21st Today I met a lovely Jamaica's girl.She wants to learn Chinese and I want to learn English,so we fastly developed a partnership.She had difficulties in the pronunciation of Chinese pinyin, so I taught her them at first.But I just found that I was very unfamiliar with pinyin.We learnt them at primary school and generally we had gotten most common words before high school,since then we seldom used pinyin.Therefore I had to review them before taught her.It was very difficult for her to repeat the pronunciation,maybe because there are huge different pronunciation habits between Chinese and English.In order to correct her voice,we planed to learn them one by one and she have already learnt five letters. In order to help with my English listening and speaking,we tried to communicate by sending voicenotes.she is a very patient teacher,she slowed down her speed considering my poor hear. It's precious to meet a proper language partner,so I totally value the partnership and I want to help her learn Chinese well ,at the same time I can get fluent English as well!

Diary Entry for February 9th Today is my birthday！Happy birthday to myself！In China，we have two calendars，solar canlendar and lunar calendar. In general，the last generations would like to use lunar calendar. So I always celebrate the lunar birthday with my family，and spend the solar birthday with my friends. In my hometown，many elders are a bit superstitious. They say that if your birthday is a sunny day，you'll be prosperous in the new year. I'm so lucky to find that today is a very sunny day. Whether it's true or not，I feel very happy in the sunny day！

Diary Entry for February 8th A few days ago，one of my sister-in-law gave birth to a baby girl. According to the custom of my hometown，all their relatives should take gifts to visit them. When I was young，guests generally took eggs and fermented glutinous rice wine as the gift. But now，people become more and more realistic，they usually give cash to the new parents. The baby girl is just ten-day-old，she has delicate skin and soft fingers，it's so cute.，but she is very petit and weak.It seems all infants' life are feeding and sleeping. My little niece also loves feeding and sleeping in her mother's arms. She even doesn't have a well vision since she's too small.

Diary Entry for February 7th From today on，I plan to go back to previous regular routine. Today is the first day to carry out my plan， I got up at 9 and cooked porridge as my breakfast. Several days ago，I bought many varieties of coarse grain（e.g. red bean，mung bean，samp，sago.）So this morning，I cooked a bowl of mixed congee. However，I think only eating congee is too lite，so I prepared a dish of pickled radish. The pickled radish was made by my aunt，it's very delicious. Furthermore，it's healthy since it hasn't been added with any additives. I received an invitation just now，my cousin will invite me to a seafood buffet restaurant. Although I don't like seafood very much，being invited always makes me pleased. I hope I'll have a joyful dinner！

Diary Entry for February 6th Today is the first day to stay alone at home. It's so boring to stay alone，especially in the transition period that was from lively life to lonely life. In the whole day，I was very inefficient. I was awake at 9，then I soaked a bowl of oatmeal as my breakfast. After having breakfast，I turned back to bed，since bed is very warm and soft，it's better than stay outside. At 12，I felt a little sleepy，so I put down my celephone and closed eyes to take a nap. When I opened my eyes again，it was at 2 p.m. I felt hungry，so I got up and prepared my lunch，it was also my dinner. Since I was alone，I just cook a bowl of fried rice with egg. After having lunch，I started to do my routine English learning. After finishing that，I prepared to go bed again. How boring and degraded the day was！

Diary Entry for February 5th I feel very sorry that I didn't write my diary yesterday. That was because my parents left home to another province yesterday. They worked in another province，which is far away from home. In fact，I extremely hate parting. Since I'm a very sensitive girl，so I always cry when say goodbye to others，especially to my parents. When I was a pupil，I had to learn to say goodbye to my parents. Because since then，my parents had to work in another place. Although I experienced too many partings，I still can't say goodbye with a smile. I always can't help crying. Every time when I think of my parents，I always have too many things want to share！Maybe I should write a series about them！

Diary Entry for February 3rd This Spring Festival,my aunt's son and her daughter-in-law, her two granddaughters came back home. Her son got married with an ecdemic girl and lived with his wife in another province. Today I saw them shared that the whole family cooked dumplings together in social media. It reminds me that dumplings are most China's symbolic food. I once heard a lot of praises for dumplings and most of them came from foreigners. I guess it not only because of its delicious taste，but also since it's an activity that can promote family affection by making it together. There are many different dumpling fillings that you can choose （e.g. cabbage, allium tuberosum,celery, pork, beef, mutton, chicken.) In general, our family choose to mix up pork and cabbage as dumpling filling. I think this mixture is very delicious！

Diary Entry for February 2nd On the way home，we met a man was selling popcorn. The popcorn is different from that in cinema. Since most popcorn in cinema is made by machine，but the popcorn is handmade. While we were walking along a street，we found a man was making popocorn and selling it to the passerby. The man had a metal and sealed pail，then he put some corns into the pail and sealed it. Finally，he put the pail over fire，meanwhile he turned it constantly. After about 15 minutes，the man took off the pail and open the lid. Then the pail gave off a big sound since there was a high atmospheric pressure in the pail. Then the delicious popcorn was done！Furthermore，the 1kg popcorn only need to pay 10 RMB！

Diary Entry for February 1st Today，it's the turn for our family to invite guests. We decide to invite them to have a hot pot. There's a popular hot pot buffet restaurant around our house. This buffet restaurant not only has a delicious taste，but also has a cheap price. Everyone just needs to pay for 40 RMB，the price includes varieties of meat，vegetables，fruits and drinks. I think many relatives unite together to have a hot pot can stimulate appetite. Since we can chat with each other while eating. It's very happy to have lunch in such a harmonious atmosphere！

Diary Entry for January 30th In fact，I feel more tired in festival season than other ordinary days. I have already been invited for four days. Every day I have too eat too much different meat（e.g. chicken，pork，mutton and beef.）In the first day，I was still satisfied. However after four days，I felt that my stomach was filled with meat and I really want to eat a bowl of porridge and some vegetables. Furthermore，I'm not free in festival time. In order to be polite，I must sit together with my relatives，and listened to their talks. When they played cards，I can only sit their sides and watch the boring game. But I still expect the annual festival，because only in Spring Festival，we can welcome our family reunion.
