Hello! I am Marija and I come from Serbia. Now I am a full-time online teacher living in Greece :). Just a few months ago I came back to Europe after I lived and worked in China as a Serbian Lecturer at the University and before that, I had worked in Belgrade as a Serbian teacher for foreigners. I enjoy meeting people, travelling, reading, doing yoga, cooking, hiking, swimming, studying languages... I have visited many places around the world and living in China was the most challenging experience. Teaching is my passion and I can talk, discuss and learn many things from my students. Since I have worked with people from all over the world I feel like I have even visited their countries :)Che tipo di insegnante sono
I graduated from Serbian Literature and Language and I hold a Master's degree in Teaching Serbian as a foreign language. After I finished my BA I started working at the Institute for Foreign Languages in Belgrade in Serbia where I gained a lot of experience as a teacher but also as a coordinator. This school is the oldest institution where Serbian as a foreign language was taught in the Balkans and all the teachers must go through training about methodology. As a coordinator, I had a chance to make programs, tests, courses. In 2017 I started working as a Serbian Lecturer at University in China. I can barely speak Chinese but my students are excellent and devoted learners of Serbian.Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento
I have worked with beginner, intermediate and advanced learners of Serbian, with adults, teenagers and kids. I held official exams on each level and prepared students for them. Special courses I worked on were for children since there are not many teaching materials for youngest learners and business Serbian for employers. Special programs were made for diplomats, too. I provide students with all the materials and depending on the type of the course, level and motifs we make a plan together. My lessons are based on communication and interaction and I would be happy to meet students' requirements and needs. We will have fun but at the same time, we will learn a lot and follow students' aims.Il mio materiale didattico

The lessons with Marija are going really well! They have a great balance between conversation and exercises. Marija is super organized and shares the materials in a way that makes them easy to use and is happy to tailor them to my needs. Hvala puno!

Today was my first Serbian lesson with Marija. After not studying Seriban for a while, there were many things that I had forgotten. However, Marija was very welcoming and encouraging, and we were able to speak in Serbian for the whole lesson! First we introduced ourselves and talked about when I studied the language previously. Marija explained her teaching style and showed me the materials that she has available. It is clear that Marija is an experienced teacher. It is really great to see how she structures learning - both within one lesson and over the longer term. I think this will be a good match for how I learn! Hvala puno!
