I'm Petra and I'm 28. I'm from the Slovenian minority in Italy and I live near Trieste. There I went to Slovenian schools while I attended University in Venice and Bologna. I've been teaching Slovenian for four years now, both with children/teens and adults. My students all have different language levels, which go from 0 or A1 to a perfect knowledge of the language. I really enjoyed my conversational lesson with Petra. She gave me space to practice speaking, and gently corrected my grammar when I made mistakes. For some sentences I had trouble saying, we dove deeper into the grammar of how to say them correctly. Thanks Petra!

During this conversation practice Petra and I talked about holidays in our different countries. Petra was very patient and caring, and struck a good balance between letting me speak and correcting my vocabulary or grammar when needed. Our conversations are definitely helping me improve my Slovene!
