Hello! My name is Jelena. I was born and I live in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. I am a native Serbian speaker and also online English teacher. I have Master degree in ethnomusicology, so I like to explore different kinds of music. I can play the piano, the saxophone, the percussion instruments and I am skilled in performing traditional Serbian songs. My great love is contemporary theater and I also like to dance and to do yoga.
In my free time I like to travel and get to know different people and cultures. I enjoy nature very much and consider it healing.Che tipo di insegnante sono
I have been an online English teacher for both adults and kids for the past eight years. I've taught English to students of all language levels, individual and group classes.
As a teacher I am friendly, patient and supportive. I am always there to help and encourage my students.

I think it is important that my students feel comfortable while learning. The language lessons should be fun and enjoyable! I provide students the opportunity to express themselves and to speak as much as possible, not being afraid of mistakes. Mistakes are just usual part of learning process.
We can work on listening, speaking, reading, writing, pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary, depending on the student's needs and interests. We can use different kinds of teaching materials, or discuss about some interesting topic. I am happy to hear feedback, suggestions, ideas and questions from students after our lessons.Certificati

Jelena uses a book as a reference for ultimate Serbian beginners, which I found helpful so that I can easily review the previous topics and read through the the next ones. I’ve done both a 30-min and a 60-min class with her and regardless of the duration, I’ve found them to be efficient. You can get a lot out of it. Hvala ti puno, Jelena.

We've gone into the cases and I appreciate Jelena's guidance I do feel that 30 minutes are a bit short and that Cyrillic is challenging to learn simultaneously with the rules, but that's probably because I'm a bit slow when picking things up. Overall, happy about her support. Hvala, Jelena!

Jelena’s approach today was very simple and straightforward that it was easy for me to follow through. I learned a lot within a 1-hour class. It was initially intimidating to learn a new language from zero but she managed to create a safe space to make mistakes and ask questions. Hvala, Jelena!
