Hello! My name is Karla, and I have been helping Finnish learners since 2020. I have a lot of volunteering experience in different organizations and language groups, in person as well as online. I have also taught myself several languages, so I am able to understand the struggles you may have but also find ways to make learning more fun. One of my biggest motivations to learn languages is to be able to help Finnish learners with all kinds of language backgrounds. I am currently studying to become a certified class teacher (I can teach all subjects in primary school for children aged 7-12) and Russian language teacher for all ages. However, my study program also focuses heavily on helping students with Finnish as a second language. I have taught children, teens and adults in traineeships as part of my studies. However, most of my teaching experience comes from volunteering regularly in Finnish language groups for immigrants since 2020. I have taught both individual students and groups in person and online, and have been teaching Finnish through English, Russian and Ukrainian. My teaching methodology is based on focusing the lessons around the learner's personal interests and motivation. I can help you build up your vocabulary and figure out grammar topics when they come up naturally as well as practice conversations on your level. I love preparing my own materials and vocabulary lists as well.Il mio materiale didattico

A fascinating lesson. I have learnt many languages on italki, and I have never had a tutor who spoke so many languages as Carla. It was fun discussing learning Finnish, and language learning in general, with her.
