I'm a qualified Finnish Language teacher currently living in Estonia. I have done my Master's in Finnish language and have worked in several different positions in different schools. In addition to my work itself, I am always working on various projects on the side. Currently I work in a field completely unrelated to teaching: online lessons are a therefore a somewhat serious hobby for me.
Che tipo di insegnante sono
In my work I strive to respect the values of self-authority and open communication. Generally I am flexible, but demanding. I try to recognize, when a student needs encouragement to reach the goals the student has set for him/herself.
I like to have interactive lessons exchanging ideas and thoughts, specifically about languages. I try to be open about my own shortcomings: there are vast new and strange areas in every language, even for professionals.Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento
In my view, the key of learning a language is using the language as much as possible. Even though I don't believe in a single method, I do think languages could be taught more efficiently. Formal grammar should be a tool that helps in understanding a language and it's structure, not the basis of learning. This said, learning a language always requires effort and practice. I have no magic tricks and can not quarantee you will know Finnish in this or that time.Il mio materiale didattico

Лаури замечательный преподаватель. Чуткий и очень тактичный. Мой английский не на самом высоком уровне и мне очень тяжело даются уроки, но Лаури самый терпеливый учитель, которой мне попадался за весь мой опыт как студента. La scelta dell'insegnante
Lauri is a great teacher, very professional. He personalised the class according to my interest in the Finnish language, created material for every one of our sessions and provided me with valuable resources for self-study. I would definitely recommend him to anyone seeking for a Finnish teacher!

Lauri did a great job today explaining participles. Although it still takes me a lot of effort to understand these structures, which are not all in my native German, and there are so many aspects to pay attention to, I see things much more clearly now. So a big thank you!
