Acredito que a conversação seja a melhor forma de aprender um idioma. Considero que os erros são sempre bem-vindos, pois é através deles que o aluno evolui no aprendizado da língua. A partir de erros, correções e acertos, eu e o aluno vamos construindo juntos o seu vocabulário e o seu conhecimento da língua. Até que, quando ele menos espera, começa a construir frases em português; exatamente como foi o processo de aprendizado da sua língua materna.

Large experience teaching Portuguese for foreigners (+700 classes) and English for Brazilians, too. For any level, I am SUPER patient, outgoing and excited about my students at class time. I am very committed to teaching so that my students really learn, notice their mistakes but don't feel bad about them, because mistakes are part of this language construction. I prepare a PowerPoint presentation with pronunciation tips (and accents), introduction to phonetic symbols (Portuguese phonetic tips) and the sounds of Brazilian Portuguese, isolated vocabularies and then small everyday phrases using such vocabulary, idioms, cultural curiosities and small doses of grammar when necessary. The student will be monitored during the class and I will always be attentive to corrections and improvements.

Sou professora de português língua estrangeira/ língua segunda desde 2007. O meu percurso profissional começou em Goa, na Índia, onde lecionei durante 4 anos. Depois, voltei a Portugal onde tirei o mestrado em Ensino de Português Língua Estrangeira. Daqui fui para a China, Trinidad e Tobago e Goa, onde ensinei em universidades. Lecionei PLE em duas universidades em Portugal: universidade de Aveiro e Faculdade de Letras de Coimbra. Atualmente, estou a frequentar o doutoramento em Educação - didática das línguas na Universidade de Aveiro e a dar aulas em Goa novamente. Certified French and Brazilian Portuguese teacher with 15 years of experience I have a Languages degree (Portuguese and French) from the UFPE and I did a postgraduate course in Applied Linguistics to Portuguese Language Teaching in the FAFIRE. I also had the opportunity to study Didactics for Languages for six months in the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle, in Paris.
