You all is simply a way of expressing the second person plural. If you are speaking to 2 or more people and you want to be clear that you are addressing all of them, you can say “you all.” I am not sure that I understand your question about “grade.”

I'm Back

Hello guys!
It's been a long while since my last post over here. Well, lots of things happened in my life. But the way, I no longer look like this girl on my profile pic HaHa. Some good things happened and bad ones as well... and that's ok though, only part of life. But what I wanted to share with you guys is the great improvement I made in English since I started to put away all the fear and shame I had of speaking English in public. Omg I'm so exited with these achievements! When look back I remember how shy I used to be in at least thinking of speaking with a native, and now It's like so normal :) I really encourage you all to keep chasing your dreams and goals. It's all about how much you believe in yourself and putt all your efforts on what you want to achieve! Now I just need to practice writing more.

FINALLY I HAVE A ROOM!

It’s a quarter to midnight and I’ve just finished working on the mock-up for the web design assignment. I’m pretty satisfied with what I did; let’s say that for the first time I did something I’m not ashamed of showing in a portfolio. It’s a remarkable accomplishment from my point of view, given my tendency to detest all my artistic work. I’m still trying to understand whether I have artistic talent or not. While drawing comes quite easily to me, I always struggle to create artistic work that requires accuracy and attention to detail.
Earlier today I went to see a room in a flat not far from where I currently live. I’ll probably rent it because the place is just marvelous. It has a very particular [maybe better: unique/interesting] structure indeed, something that I’ve never seen before. The building, which looks quite old even though yet extremely well preserved, consists of a quite long row of terraced houses overlooking the main street. They are made of the lovely yellow Maltese limestone bricks and gorgeous climbing plants are found all over the building. All these delicious [adorable] little houses share the same front porch, creating this sort of gallery with arched openings along its entire length. I simply fell in love with this beauty.
The only problem (because there is always at least one problem, right?) is that there is an Italian couple living in the flat…bloody hell! Turns out that speaking English in Malta is quite a challenge. I’m surrounded by Italians at work and now I will have them at home as well. But the place is so lovely…and God knows how difficult it is to find a decent place on this Island. I can always pretend to be from Uk and speak to them in English…they will fall for it for sure!

First lectures day

Today it was the first day of lectures of my course. I found out the Department of Digital Arts is pretty a quiet place. We are 10 people in total and as I expected the students are all 20-ish youths. The classrooms are quite modern, with colorful furniture and white walls. Walking among the Faculties you don't see many people around, a deserted campus in the middle of the desert...it makes sense after all! In the morning we had a lecture called "Collaborative practice" where we got an overview of the key concepts of collaborating within a team of professionals. According to the professor, a successful team must be formed by different personality types. There must be [or you could say: 'You need'] the cerebral one [or type], whose specialty is solving difficult problems as well as contributing with creativity and imagination. Then there is the action-oriented type, the guy able to implement and shapeing a project and eventually carry it out. Finally, in order to have a very successful team, you need to have a good team player that makes the thorny task of working in a group as painless as possible. This can sound like a mere stereotyped description of a team but actually, I find the subject matter pretty interesting and it should be taken more into account among professional teams. Afterwards, we had the "professional practice" lecture with the professor and a guy from the publishing industry that commission us the design of a Maltese poet's cover book  who tasked us with designing the cover of a book for a Maltese poet [I am not sure if I've correctly understood what you meant, but this sounds right to me :)]. During the brief, they used the word "pitch" quite a lot. They said something like "we will be giving you some pitch" and also "the pitch must be handed over by the 16th of October". Actually, I'm a little confused about this word, it seems to have several meanings but they have nothing to do with the context it was used this morning. They used it in place of "the proposal" I think, but I can't find any reference between the two terms in the dictionary. 

[A "pitch" in this context is a proposal or a presentation, more or less. You think of an idea and present it to someone. It is often used in a business situation. The presentation is a "pitch." Used as a verb, you can pitch an idea, meaning present an idea. I hope this helps!!!]
