During my winter vacation, I worked many shifts at my part-time job and earned a lot of money. I wanted to use my long break in a productive way, so I decided to focus on working as much as possible. During the first three days of the New Year, the restaurant was extremely busy. There were so many customers that the kitchen was very hectic, and we were constantly moving without rest. It was physically tiring, but at the same time, it became a very valuable experience for me. I learned how important teamwork, communication, and staying calm under pressure are in a busy workplace. Going back a little, I spent New Year’s Eve with my friends. We visited Iseyama Kotai Shrine to pray for the coming year. The shrine was crowded, but the atmosphere felt special and meaningful. I drew a fortune slip, and it was “great luck.” Because of that, I felt hopeful and believed that this year would be a good one. After visiting the shrine, we enjoyed food stalls and drank alcohol together. We talked, laughed, and shared a warm moment to welcome the New Year. I feel that I was able to start this year in a very positive way. I hope that I can spend this year peacefully and stay healthy without any major problems.

Are you wanting to learn how to speak clear and completely understandable American English so someone from the United States can really effortlessly understand you without assumptions or confusion? So you don't have to repeat yourself? Have you ever had a native English speaker from the United States watch and listen to you speak and let you know what mistakes you make by typing what they heard you say in written form then put a correction next to it in written form? During the year-end and New Year holidays, I went back to my hometown and spent time with my family. It was also my younger brother’s birthday, so I gave him a Tom and Jerry puzzle, which is his favorite. When he opened the present, he smiled a lot and looked very excited. Seeing him so happy made me feel warm and reminded me how important family time is, especially during the holidays. At the same time, the New Year period was not completely relaxing for me. Since the beginning of the year, I have been practicing hard every day for my Korean speaking test. In the previous semester, I could not speak well during the test, and my teacher became angry with me. That experience left a strong impression on me. After that, I felt anxious almost every day, and there were many nights when I could not sleep well because I was worried about the next test. However, I did not want to give up. I continued practicing speaking Korean from the New Year, repeating the same sentences again and again and trying to speak more confidently. Today, I finally took the speaking test. This time, my teacher did not get angry with me. When the test finished, I felt very relieved and truly happy. It made me realize that my effort was not meaningless. This experience gave me more confidence and motivation. I want to continue studying Korean with this positive feeling and keep improving step by step. I hope that I can face future challenges without being afraid and grow through my efforts.
