My friend and I were talking about an upcoming class party and he said we should do a Halloween party because “it will be timely”. I think he means it’s good timing because Halloween is coming. However, I’m not sure which is correct? 1. It will be timely. 2. It is good timing (because Halloween is in two weeks) 3. It is a good time to have a Halloween party. 4. Or is there a better way to say this?

Hi there! I am a big fan of Italki, as it such a great way to find excellent tutors in your learning language. I have been also using other apps to practice my skills to complement Italki, for instance to practice vocabulary while I am on public transport. However, I find it hard to find the right entry point in many of those apps if you are not a complete beginner. Often, the contents seem too simple (or too complicated) or just irrelevant to me personally. Also, I have the impression that many apps introduce words that are not very often used in real life at a rather early stage, while way more important words only are introduced later. Do you agree that these are common issues with many apps? Or do you find other problems to be bigger issues for you a language learner? Do you have any recommendations for apps that solve these problem well? What are your favorites?
