🇹🇭🇹🇭 Spending Three Months in Thailand! 🇹🇭🇭
So, as many of you know, it’s very common for teachers to emigrate abroad these days, a concept known as geographical arbitrage. A topic I have already covered in a previous article, which you can check out using this link: https://www.italki.com/en/post/EFYeVreUo3ksKsR4wT1sOt
Now, next week, I'll be heading to Thailand for three months.
So this is where I will be starting my trip: Bangkok. It's famous around the world for having unique street markets, stunning temples, and a crazy nightlife. There is so much to do in Bangkok, and many people overlook this megapolis and head straight to the beaches. But I have been told that it's worth staying there to check out the city.
Phuket, the island famous for it's beaches and clear turquoise water, is one of the best places to go snorkeling to check out the sea life, or so I have been told. Are there any other places in Thailand that could be better? feel free to leave a comment below :)
Koh Samui is another beautiful beach destination. With beaches filled with palm trees and luxury resorts dotted around the island, it's more of a luxurious destination, meaning the prices are usually fairly high. So if you are looking for a place to soak up the sun in style, I think this is the place for you!
Next is Chiang Mai, one of the more historical places in Thailand, with its ancient temples and traditional culture. The old town is packed with interesting historical sites, and the night bazaar is a great spot to try local food and find interesting souvenirs.
Finally, Maya Bay. Like many Millennials, I first saw this beach depicted in the film 'The Beach' starring Leo DiCaprio. Even though 20 years have passed since I saw this film, I am finally getting the chance to visit this iconic beach, something I am very excited about.
If you have ever been to Thailand or have been thinking about going, leave a comment below!
Are there any places that you would recommend visiting that I have not included in the article?
