★☆Daily Grammar #12 = V-ㄹ/을까요?★☆ V-ㄹ/을까요? = Shall we? (a casual, polite propositive sentence ending.) Attaching ㄹ까요/을까요 to a verb stem is the easiest way to invite someone to do something together. You just need to add ㄹ까요 after a vowel and 을까요 after a consonant.  Shall we eat? =(우리) 밥을 먹(다)+을까요? Shall we watch TV? =(우리) TV를 보(다)+ㄹ까요?   (우리) TV를 볼까요? Shall we meet tomorrow? =(우리) 내일 만나(다)+ㄹ까요?   (우리) 내일 만날까요? Shall we study Korean? =(우리) 한국어를 공부하(다)+ㄹ까요?   (우리) 한국어를 공부할까요? Since this grammar pattern is pretty easy to understand, I want you to try writing the following sentences in Korean while using the “ㄹ/을까요” pattern :)! The answers are at the end of this post! Shall we learn Korean? (to go = 가다) Shall we eat this pizza? (to eat = 먹다 & this = 이) Shall we meet Susan and Joe? (n+and+n = ~하고 & to meet = 만나다) Shall we play soccer? (soccer= 축구) Shall we study and sing? (v-고 = v~and~) *In a similar vein, when the subject is the first person, it translates into "Shall I~?" and “Do you think that I should~? Shall I eat? =(저는 or 제가) 밥을 먹(다)+을까요? Shall I watch TV? =(저는 or 제가) TV를 볼까요? Do you think that I should study Korean? =(저는 or 제가) 한국어를 공부할까요? ■The Answers Shall we learn Korean?  =한국어를 배우+ㄹ까요? =한국어를 배울까요? Shall we eat this pizza?  =이 피자를 먹+을까요? =이 피자를 먹을까요?
