Composition- Hobbies Like most folks, I’ve a few hobbies – jogging, chess, and the occasional yarn-spinning session. But when it comes to pure joy, nothing beats singing loudly in the shower cubicle. My love affair with singing started in toddlerhood. Over the years, the passion only grew, leading me to a fancy singing class. Still, the stage lights send shivers down my spine, inevitably! But in the shower? It's my personal concert hall. No audience (except the ever-supportive shampoo bottles and loofahs ), no volume restrictions, just pure singing freedom. I can unleash my inner rockstar, wail like a banshee. Maybe a tad embarrassing to admit, but within the confines of my personal bathroom auditorium (as Dad so lovingly calls it), I'm already a shower singer superstar. Just don't ask me to recreate the magic on a real stage – that's a whole different game!

Last Tuesday, I went to a love hotel with a friend who works as a hairstylist to have my gray hair dyed and cut. She doesn't own a shop and is usually busy taking care of her grandchildren. She works as a visiting hairstylist, providing hair-cutting and dyeing services at friends' homes and nursing homes. I felt too embarrassed about the mess in my home to have her come there, so I searched for an affordable, hourly-rate love hotel, where I had been continuing to dye and cut my hair for about two years. At the check-out counter, I was always asked whether I dyed my hair, but I always denied it until that day. As I was trying to leave the parking lot after checking out, a staff member suddenly came and knocked on my window. "You dyed your hair, didn't you? There are stains in the bathroom. Please come back to the room to check," they said. I kept denying it, but the staff mentioned they had records of my visits and possibly videos and photos. I got annoyed, and I asked, "How much is the cleaning fee for the room?" They initially quoted me 3000 yen, which was lower than what I had expected. Even though I was willing to negotiate if it was 10,000 yen, I decided to pay the amount they had asked for to quickly resolve the issue. However, after I made the payment, one of the staff members informed me that I was no longer welcome to stay at the hotel in the future. I was surprised by the sudden confrontation. Looking back, I realized that I had not checked properly for any remaining stains after washing off the dye . In the future ,I will choose a different hotel and be more diligent to avoid making the same mistake. I believe it was noticeable that two women entered, and sometimes my friend carried a large bag containing hair dyeing tools. I will be more cautious next time.

I've found an English language organization and signed up as a learner. But they sent me an Email and said "we're unable to serve you because you live outside of the US". I've no idea, then I signed up as a teacher. I got a learner after the interview. During a lesson, the coordinator asked us to repeat what we heard from a video for the learner. The other teacher repeated it since she is a native speaker but I couldn't. The coordinator had to repeat it many times for me. And he asked me how to help the learner take notes. I said I have no idea. And I realized there are learners who live outside of the US. Yesterday I told another teacher the story. She was also bemused as she said there are a lot of learners who live outside of the US. I said, "Indeed, for example, yesterday's learner lives in Thailand." She said, "Indeed."
