Hey! I am still looking for English speaking partner with whom I can talk regularly to improve my speaking skills. I am 25 years old from Slovakia. :) In case you are interested write me a message or leave a comment.

Dear all, How does learning a new language reshape the way we perceive the world and connect with others?

Hi! Wouldn't the verb "encourage" also work in the following sentence? Why "convince" is better? Is this something about educational distinction? I feel "encourage" closer to the teacher role. 🥺🥺 "The teachers tried to __convince___ these students that they could solve the complicated problem, however, they just didn't see the point."

Hi! Why the preposition "on" is the best answer? I can't figure it out, I chose "with" instead 😫 I have found "on that/this account" is a fixed phrase after checking the answer though 🥹 "They were tired, but not any less enthusiastic _on__ that account."

As far as I know the first clock......was invented in the mid-fourteenth century. 1)historically recorded it 2)which it recorded historically 3)that historically recorded 4)to be historically recorded I've been told that #4 is the correct answer. I would like to know how it is possible as I can't really get it.

I know that native English speakers say "on the podcast" and "on his profile". But is it supposed to be "on the subreddit" or "in the subreddit"?

1. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. 2. I don't actually believe that. I'm just trying to play Devil's advocate here. 3. My mother was the worst. She was basically the devil incarnate. Do these sentences sound natural?
