Preposition Masterclass: Up, Down, Round, Over, In, Out, On, Off as Particles | Real British English #049
Описание
A phrasal verb is a verb plus a particle. A particle is a small word like up, down, in or off that joins the verb and changes its meaning. Learners often avoid phrasal verbs, or translate from their own language and say "close the light", "open the TV" or "write my number on paper".
In this episode:
• Up: finishing and increasing
• Down, and round and over
• In and out: entering, leaving, giving, solving
• On and off: continuing, wearing, starting and stopping
• Listening lab
• Practice
• Self-check questions with answers
