Because in the past I was a successful student. (unsuccessful) there would be two ll's if you say successfully

Could you help edit my text? My topic = Write about your fears and how you can overcome them. I have a fear of being unsuccessful because I want to be a successful student in the future. I'd like to maintain my success from my chillhood in the future too.
