Is this sentence correct in Italian? In English the sentence is: I prefer to get the later train because it's less busy I have written the sentence in Italian but I am not sure if its correct? io preferisco prendere il treno tardi perche meno impegnato

io preferisco prendere il treno tardi perche meno impegnato

Preferisco prendere il treno più tardi perchè trovo meno gente/perchè non è affollato/perchè posso trovare un posto libero  ecc

The first part of his sentence is correct.
The adjective "impegnato" is wrong.
Maybe you want to write "affollato ( full of people ).

I write the new sentence:
io preferisco prendere il treno tardi perche meno affollato.
