"Behalt's für dich" Bedeutung? I was listening to an audio in which a couple was quarrelling, and at some point one person said to another: "Behalt's für dich! Ich will deinen Quatsch gar nicht hören". So, is this phrase used as a polite way to tell somebody to shut up?

Means in this context 'Shut up' or 'I don't want to hear it'. It's more polite then a 'shut up!', still somehow rude. In another context it can also mean "Keep it secret". Ich muss dir was erzählen, aber bitte behalt's für dich.....

Well, it means "keep it to yourself", so I guess you can see it that way.
